Latino Media Summit

A celebration of ideas, innovation, and opportunity

June 3—5 | #LMS2021

As we slowly recover from the global pandemic, the Latino Media Summit, hosted by CUNY’s Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism since 2017, comes back stronger this summer with a virtual three-day program.

The LMS is an annual convening of journalists, entrepreneurs, innovators, experts, artists, and industry leaders focused on Latino audiences in the U.S. Unique among journalistic conferences, it covers topics specific to a broad spectrum of Latino audiences and communities, including media and technology innovations; business models; race, gender and class issues relevant to Latino news media coverage and culture; challenges in bilingual reporting, and Latinx representation in newsrooms.

This year’s summit will include:

  • Public conversations
  • Lightning talks
  • Featured presentations
  • Workshops
  • Curated networking spaces
  • Connections with affinity groups and newsroom recruiters

This year, for the first time, you don’t need to be in New York to participate. You can join us from El Paso, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas or San Juan, Bogota, Mexico City, Lima, or wherever you are. You are invited to be an active part of the Latino Media Summit.

This is a bilingual three-day event. We offer simultaneous interpretation in English and Spanish throughout.
