Commemorating the 1924 Immigration Act in Asian American Media
The Center for Community Media’s Asian, Black, and Latino Media Initiatives will hold an online, hour-long training session on navigating corporate funding for newsrooms in the community news media sector.
CCM's Asian Media Initiative is hosting a forum to bring AAPI community news media journalists into dialogue with experts in surveillance, transnational repression, press freedom, and journalism safety. This is a dedicated space for AAPI journalists to share their lived experiences and strategies for navigating these threats, and to gain access to emerging tools, resources, and insights.
In this virtual forum, community news media journalists will receive briefings from community-based organizations and AAPI-led research initiatives to inform your coverage of AAPI voters in New York and nationwide.
Join us for a special discussion and interactive workshop with Filipino American, Japanese American, and South Asian American community archivists, as we commemorate AAPI Heritage Month.
