Jesús (he/él) is a multi-disciplinary writer, editor and producer, focusing primarily on civics, economics, and immigration policy. He’s currently the inaugural Ronan Farrow Investigative Research Fellow where he helps uncover abuses of power as a part of Farrow’s team.
Previously, he worked as a tech project manager at Streetsblog, helping the newsroom with its tech needs and building features for storytelling. He’s independently producing and reporting a podcast on U.S. Citizenship and identity.
He has an M.A. from the bilingual program at CUNY Newmark J-School and has a B.A. in political science from Yale. His work at the J-School won a Shauffler Prize, a National Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists and a Merit Award from the Silurians Press Club. He’s an alumnus of the Dow Jones News Fund and a 2023 FASPE Fellow in journalism.
Jesús is also a creative technologist and software developer, a visual artist whose work has ranged from creating the Dance Print series to producing commercial art projects for Intel, and a former professional modern and contemporary ballet dancer.
