Matthew Brown

  1. Associate Director of Student Engagement and Programs

Matthew Brown has been appointed to the new position of Associate Director of Student Engagement and Programs in the Office of Student Affairs.

With a background in counseling and academic advising, he will oversee the development and implementation of student wellness and outreach programs. He will also manage student accommodation requests and serve as advisor to campus student organizations.

Matt comes to us from Pace University in New York, where he was most recently associate director in the Office of First-Year Experience, serving as the primary advocate for the needs and interests of students who were new to the school. Prior to that role, he was a senior academic advisor who monitored undergraduate and graduate development and use of university resources.

He earned an M.A. in Education with a concentration in higher and post-secondary education from Columbia University Teachers College. He has a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in counseling from Alfred University.
