Molly Boigon works as a tech and innovation reporter for Automotive News, where she covers vehicle software, connectivity, infotainment, autonomy, alternative fuels, and electric vehicles.

She served as the lead reporter on an NBC News investigation about labor trafficking on U.S. military bases that won the 2023 Deadline Club award for best business investigative reporting and the top honor for the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, the Robert D.G. Lewis Watchdog Award, among other prizes.

Boigon previously covered K-12 education at WGBH Radio in Boston and worked as an investigative reporter at the Forward, a Jewish newspaper in New York, where she won a Rockower Award for her analysis of coronavirus positivity rates by neighborhood.

Boigon has a bachelor’s degree in applied psychology and human development from Boston College and a master’s degree from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, concentrating in business and economics reporting and data journalism.
