Roxanne Scott is a reporter and audio producer in Queens, NY. She’s covered a variety of topics including how climate change affects residents of color in New York City, disparities in gifted and talented enrollment in Kentucky, and the spread of COVID in ICE detention centers in Georgia. Her stories have appeared on NPR, BBC, Futuro Media, Marketplace and PRI’s The World.
She is a 2024 Alicia Patterson Foundation fellow working on a series about floods for The Blacklight, the investigative unit for the New York Amsterdam News.
She studied health and science reporting at the CUNY Newmark Graduate School of Journalism.
