Walter Smith Randolph

Walter Smith Randolph, a 2010 J-school alum, joined the faculty in 2024. He is currently the Executive Producer of Investigations at WCBS/CBS New York and Vice President-Broadcast of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Before returning home to New York City, Walter launched and led The Accountability Project at Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Connecticut’s statewide NPR and PBS stations.

Previously, Walter worked at local tv stations as an investigative reporter and anchor in Cincinnati, Ohio; Kalamazoo, Michigan; Flint, Michigan and Elmira/Ithaca, New York. Walter is also a graduate of Villanova University.

His work has been honored with a national Edward R. Murrow award (RTDNA), a national Sigma Delta Chi award (SPJ), first-place honors from both the Cincinnati and Connecticut SPJ chapters, and several EMMY nominations.
