Yolanda Rodriguez joined the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in August 2013 after a career as a newspaper reporter. She has been in higher education since 2010.

She works closely with students and recent graduates, helping refine their career goals and preparing them for the job market. Additionally, Yolanda manages the logistics of Career Services events, including the annual fall job and internship fair, which brings dozens of media companies to campus.

Yolanda has worked at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Newsday (Long Island), and the Los Angeles Times. She started her career in journalism at her neighborhood newspaper, the Clinton Community Press, in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen.

After leaving the AJC, she worked in the communications and marketing offices of the University of West Georgia and Kennesaw State University.

She graduated from Hunter College with a B.A. in English. She also has a Master of Science in Education in Higher Education Administration (MSEd-HEA) from Baruch College.
