The New York Financial Writers’ Association is proud to announce Business and Economics Reporting Director Greg David as the recipient of its annual Elliott V. Bell Award, which honors journalists who have made a significant contribution to the field of financial journalism. To celebrate David’s achievement, the association will host an award reception on Wednesday, May 23rd.
As part of the evening, David will moderate a panel on “The Five Changes Coming in Business & Economic Journalism.” The discussion will explore how business journalism is changing and will feature the following panelists:
- Adam Auriemma, editor in chief of Money
- Ben Casselman, CUNY J-School adjunct professor and a business and economics reporter for The New York Times
- Cara Eisenpress, ’12, writer for Crain’s New York Business
- Matt Townsend, ’08, reporter for Bloomberg
- Ashley Rodriguez, ’14, reporter for Quartz
The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a reception featuring drinks and appetizers, followed by the award ceremony and panel. This event is only open to NYFWA members in good standing for 2018.
