In this advanced 1-credit module, you will learn audio mixing, mastering, track management, routing and advanced sound design skills. You will use ProTools to take your mixing and mastering of your audio pieces to a professional level using equalization, compression and other plugins. You will be encouraged to get creative with sound design as you explore delays, reverb, pitch-shifting and experimental audio processing. You will receive an orientation to the control room and studio hardware and will be provided with opportunities for one-on-one experience shadowing an audio engineer in the studio. This 5-week module will culminate with each student re-editing, sound designing, mixing and mastering a show or audio documentary produced by students in another class.
