The Newmark NABJ chapter is joining with NYC'S NABJ city chapter in hosting their April Chapter Meeting. We will be welcoming them as our special guests and will discuss the growing challenges being faced in media as well as how to keep ourselves mentally refreshed. Refreshments provided!

The IRE student chapter will be joined by Haley Willis, a reporter on the visual investigations team at the New York Times, who will discuss how her team utilizes digital techniques to augment traditional reporting in Gaza, Syria, and the United States. There will be snacks and a Q&A following her presentation!

NABJ will be having a panel with black journalists to talk about their careers. Professionals from CBS New York, The Wall Street Journal, magazines and more will come together to discuss career growth, job security, work/life balance, and safety in the newsroom.
