This is the first in a series of debates between January and June with the candidates hoping to replace Bill de Blasio as New York City mayor. The forums will be hosted by the Center for Community Media at the Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.

Candidates will share their vision for a city that faces serious challenges as it recovers from the impact of the COVID-19. Journalists from the community media will have a chance to ask questions that are important to their respective audiences, most of whom are made of immigrants and people of color who have suffered disproportionately during the pandemic.
