This conversation, the first of three this February, will take place between three publishers serving communities with historic trauma from white nationalist violence and terrorism – Black communities in the South, diverse Jewish American communities, and undocumented Latinx communities on the U.S.-Mexico border.

The series offers a unique opportunity for community media journalists to ask the candidates questions that are important to their respective audiences, largely immigrants and people of color, who have suffered disproportionately during the pandemic.

Join us for a public conversation where we’ll highlight the ways Black media uniquely integrates history into coverage, the harm that has been done historically against Black media, and the ways that individuals and organizations can be a part of the solution of reparative justice.
