FEDERAL AID

Federal aid is awarded directly through the Office of Fellowships and Financial Aid at the CUNY Graduate Center in accordance with requirements established by federal law. 

Master’s students who file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be considered for federal aid and may be eligible for:

It is strongly recommended to file the FAFSA online by the priority deadline of April 30 to be considered for federal loans or federal work study. Applying by the priority deadline will allow students to quickly address any financial aid issues in a timely manner. Since federal aid is awarded for one academic year at a time, you will need to resubmit the FAFSA form for the third semester to be considered for additional federal funding. Please note, international students are not eligible for federal aid.
